Brian Allen was born and raised in Jacksonville, attended Duval County Public Schools for all grades, and graduated from UNF, initially with a BA in Education and later with a Master of Business Administration. Brian enlisted in to the US Army Reserve as a Private (E1) and has served as a Company First Sergeant (E8) multiple times, earning a Meritorious Service Medal. He served as a Detachment NCO In-Charge during Operation Iraqi Freedom III and currently performs his reserve duty as a Seaport Operations NCO in Korea during semiannual Joint Force Exercises with Korean Military Personnel.
Brian began his career as a teacher and athletic coach in Duval County Public Schools and eventually found his way in to the Mortgage Industry, working both as a Mortgage Broker and then as a Mortgage Loan Officer for both BBVA Compass and TD Bank. He has a total of 13 years of mortgage banking experience in both mortgage origination and mortgage servicing. During the most recent recession, Brian’s employer closed operations and he found employment with Fidelity National Information Services as a Quality Assurance Analyst, testing multiple enterprise applications.
Brian was also elected by countywide ballot in November 2012 and served for four years as a Soil and Water Conservation District Board Member for Duval County. He currently serves as both the Finance and Information Technology Sector Managers for CareerSource NEFL.
